Welcome to the one and only official fanlisting about the talented and wonderful actor Robert Carlyle. The fanlisting is approved by thefanlistings.org and it went online in June 2003. You might know Robert from the movies Trainspotting, Ravenous, Angela's Ashes, The Full Monty and The 51st State. I've been a big fan of Roberts work for a long time and I used to have a fansite about him and his work but as I got less time I decided to only keep this fanlisting.

Danny to reunite Trainspotting cast posted in Movie News

Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a starter home. Choose to make a sequel to Trainspotting...

Well, that's just what director Danny Boyle's got planned, but film fans shouldn't buy their popcorn just yet.

"We've got a long-term plan really, I mean it's the same actors and the same characters but it's not a strict sequel, in a way because there [will be] such a long time gap, and the time gap is deliberate," he revealed about the secret sequel plans.

Ewan McGregor shot to fame with the Oscar-nominated hit, playing Renton, a young man immersed in the Edinburgh drug scene, but who was trying to get clean and escape his surroundings.

Part of Danny's masterplan is to reunite the full cast again.

"It's because of a desire to look at those guys when they hit middle age.

"At the moment they all really look like they did when they made the first film, there's not much difference really, but when they do age we'll be waiting for them."

Danny also confirmed rumours that one of the characters may be involved in the porn industry and went on to reveal a little bit of what the film's opening sequence will look like.

"Basically kicks off with Begbie, the Robert Carlyle character, who has been in jail for manslaughter. He's been in prison for about 15 years and he comes out... and that's how it'll begin."

Carlyle did not like wearing contacts for his zombie film role posted in Movie News

Robert Carlyle says he disliked wearing contact lenses to look like a zombie for his starring role in the new movie 28 Weeks Later.

"The problem with these things where you're working with them on film is (the) studio is very hot and you're in that atmosphere, they just stick to your eyes," the 46-year-old actor said. "You get constant drops and stuff."

28 Weeks Later is the sequel to 2002's 28 Days Later. Six months have passed since the "rage" virus wiped out London. Carlyle stars as a man who survived the plague that decimated Britain and now is among survivors in a fortified area of London guarded by U.S. troops supervising the country's repopulation.

Why directors go for Robert Carlyle posted in Movie News

When Danny Boyle directed the movie 28 Weeks Later, he created a post-apocalyptic vision that straddled both science fiction and horror genres perfectly.

In doing so he established the international careers of Cillian Murphy and Naomie Harris.

Four years on and Boyle is back, this time as executive producer on 28 Weeks Later, the highly anticipated sequel, which opens across the Capital today, with Scottish BAFTA award-winner and Emmy-nominee, Robert Carlyle in the lead role.

Science fiction thriller "28 Weeks Later" to open in May posted in Movie News

Twenty-eight days before the release of new science fiction thriller "28 Weeks Later", London's Houses of Parliament and Dover's white cliffs were marked with biohazard symbols to launch the film in the UK.

The movie is a follow up to the 2003 hit "28 Weeks Later" in which a highly contagious virus spreads through Britain, leaving behind only a few survivors - and the blood-crazed, zombie-like victims.

In the sequel, the U.S. army declares the virus beaten 28 weeks after it has annihilated the island nation. The reconstruction of Britain begins and refugees start to return.

However the scientists are wrong and the virus returns, this time more dangerous than ever.

"28 Weeks Later" stars Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne, Jeremy Renner and Harold Perrineau and is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

The movie is due to break out in cinemas across the UK and Ireland from May 11.
